They Have Bowed Their Heads

It’s a sign. Summer is shrinking away from us in New England when the sunflowers bow their heads to the earth… The birds have come and gone. Stolen the seeds of those beauties and left them to bow down peacefully into the passing of the season.

But what happiness they bring us when they are here. Crowned in golden glory. Waving back at us from the fields saying – “Keep on the Sunny Side of Life.”

So this is it. My first blog. My first post. I’m sure I’ll make those rookies mistakes that will make some of you wonder “What was she thinking?” And that’s okay. I don’t mind.

I like sunflowers. I came from Kansas. Now I live in New England with my dog, cat, bird and husband– not necessarily in any particular order. Oh, and I write. Sometimes for work, but mostly for fun. Maybe someday it’ll be for more, but for now…

This is Sunny’s Side of Life.
